Grilled Chocolate and Almond Butter Sandwich

Since I have a dairy sensitivity, I no longer eat one of my most beloved meals: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. But that’s okay, because I can eat this wonderful, grilled concoction instead πŸ™‚

INGREDIENTS

  • Gluten free bread (I like Silver Hills)
  • Almond butter
  • Dark chocolate (I like the vegan and organic brand Giddy Yo Yo)
  • Frozen raspberries
  • Cinnamon
  • Oil or vegan “butter” for a golden crisp

DIRECTIONS

Pretend you are making a grilled cheese, but substitute the cheese for all of the above awesomeness instead.

You can eat this for breakfast, lunch, or a snack! The almond butter has protein and good-for-you-fats; the raspberries are filled with vitamins and antioxidants; cinnamon helps to balance blood sugar and cravings; and even the vegan dark chocolate is beneficial, as it contains antioxidants and magnesium! It is also just really, really, really, really delicious… so I recommend eating it as often as possible πŸ™‚
