Meditation Challenge Day 1

FullSizeRender-1Today was the start of the tujawellness 30 Day Meditation Challenge that I hesitantly signed up for. I had tried meditation a few times in the past with a group of people from my yoga studio, and I hate to admit it, but I did not like it at all! All I could think about the entire time was that I wanted to lean on something, or scratch that itch on my back, or wiggle my shoulders around, or why I couldn’t stop talking to myself in my head… I may have even peeked once or twice to see what everyone else was doing… (woops).

Salt Cave Halotherapy

Today I had the opportunity to curl up under a blanket and relax for an hour in a “cave” covered in Himalayan pink crystal salt. This experience of breathing in salt filled air is a form of Halotherapy.

Halotherapy is said to help treat the following:

  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Sinusitis
  • Coughs and colds
  • Ear/throat issues
  • Acne
  • Dermatitis
  • Eczema
  • Stress
  • Headaches
