Test Dummies: Joyous Health Minty Fresh Toothpaste

Joyous Health Minty Fresh Toothpaste

WHY I BOUGHT IT

I wanted to alternate my typical routine of brushing my teeth with soap (more on that here), with a paste that had a baking soda base. Erin just featured Joyous Health as her Book of the Month and I wanted to learn more about it, so I checked out Joy’s website. Guess what… she has a toothpaste with a baking soda base (SCORE).

When I visited The Yoga Show last month I knew I wanted to pop by the Joyous Health booth to purchase it. Little did I know, Joy would be there in real life. She was so kind and helpful, I was going to buy the toothpaste anyways, but it made me feel extra happy that I was supporting a local business and a fellow female!

The Detox Market Toronto

Erin and I had the pleasure of visiting the The Detox Market Toronto a few weeks ago. I’m obsessed with watching beauty/makeup videos on YouTube, and one of my favourite channels is celebrity make-up artist Jamie Greenberg. Recently, she went to the LA Detox Market, and all I could think was…

Test Dummies: Meow Meow Tweet Lavendar Deodorant Cream

Meow Meow Tweet DeodorantWHY I BOUGHT IT:

I wasn’t enjoying the experience of using a different brand’s tea tree deodorant. I like tea tree oil, but found that it made my b.o. smell worse after using it. I went on to borrow my sisters Green Beaver Lavendar deodorant and loved that, but it wasn’t lasting all day. It went on like butter, incredibly soft and smelled great, but again – wasn’t lasting. So I went searching well.ca for something different, and since I’m a sucker for a deal, I bought this cream on sale (you’ll see a trend here with my purchases…)

PRICE:

$15.99 Canadian, but I think I got 20% off my purchase. So, pricier than most deodorants, but a little goes a long way. I’ve had mine since November and haven’t used half yet. It’s actually on sale right now until Feb 8, 2015, you can click here to go to the product. (more…)
